Dinner Ideas

Dinner Ideas

A friend had originally told me about the service that she uses monthly, but honestly, I was too cheap to try it out. When I saw the deal on LivingSocial one day, I jumped on the chance to try it at half the price. What is Simply Homemade? It’s  that was started by two local moms who knew that whether you had a meeting that ran late, had too much running around that day or you didn’t want to melt in the rain at the grocery store, sometimes it’s just too difficult to get the most  healthy, hot meal on the table. So here is their solution:
Visit the website view the current , make your selection and decide how many meals you want at that particular time. The LivingSocial promotion was for the 5 Meal Package, assembled. I chose the “Split Meal Package” because I heard that each meal feeds 4-6 people and it’s just my husband and I. Let me also say that my husband and I can eat, so I was a little skeptical of the serving size and how much they claimed to “serve” with each meal.  They weren’t lying, so I was super happy that I chose the split package because I really ended up getting 10 meals instead of five! Score! I was also skeptical of the quality of the meal… Was it just going to be another frozen meal that I could have gotten at the grocery store? I strategically choose meals from the menu that I typically would not/could not make at home. They provide EVERYTHING needed to make the meal including preparation instructions, which means I could whip up dishes like Chimichurri Chicken and Beef Bolognese in about 10 minutes without worrying if I have the right spices in my pantry
