Black Car Wax
Welcome to Wax Forum, and congratulations on your new car!Black can be tough, but so long as you take care of it, it'll be easy...
there are several recent threads like yours, so please peruse them.Be sure to read the "Two Bucket Wash" sticky to help keep your black car shiny.Your waxing approach may differ depending on how much time you want to
put into it and just how "new" the finish is. I'd wash thoroughly, start
with Clay, detail the trim with a product like our Protectant or
Back-to-Black (just let it set -- don't buff yet), and and probably just
go straight for the FX SynWax -- on a new PowerBall 4Paint if you have
it; or you can use the Carnauba Cleaner Wax in our Clay Bar kit.Either way you go, you should follow washes with a spray wax like FX, and that'll help keep it shiny and wet looking. And if you decide in the future you want to try other products, like a
2-step or 3-step, you can always "step-up" but for now probalby a 1-step
is all you need, and you get that in Carnauba Cleaner Wax or FX SynWax.
