It has flanges at the base to allow it to be permanently mounted on a board.Specification:Throughout: 1,300 litres per hour285 gallons per hourMaximum priming height: 15mSelf priming height: 3mHose connector: 1/2 in Dry running limit: 30 secondsNote: all pumps should be mounted on a board.ive found it will pump oil and other fluids just as well. i used this pump to suck oil from a sump and it worked a treat. the pump will self prime from 3 metres away according to the literature but i found it will self prime from longer distances too within reason. it will pump from lower or higher locations and seems to have no affect on its ability what so ever. all you need to use it is 2 lengths of plastic hose/pipe and a couple of jubilee clips to hold the hose on. i made myself a simple wooden mounting block to fasten the pump and a rest for my drill
