Baby Concierge Nyc
n the midst of a Manhattan downpour, I arrive at Rosie Pope’s airy Upper East
Side maternity boutique, three-and-a-half months pregnant and somewhat
frazzled, battling to conceal my bump in an ensemble suitable for the
upmarket address. Pope, 32, herself five months pregnant with her third
child, is perched on an elegant sofa, clad in a black body-con minidress.
She is the picture of uptown glossiness, not a strand of her long
honey-coloured hair out of place, her wrist adorned with the requisite gold
Cartier watch. When I confess that I haven’t bought a stitch of maternity clothing and am
baffled and horrified by baby gear, Pope says, 'Don’t worry, we’ll get you
sorted.’ For me, a few flowy tops and a quick lesson in folding down one of
those space-age prams would do the trick, but, as the most high-profile
'maternity concierge’ in New York, Rosie Pope is accustomed to far more
outlandish requests.
